FMP Final Piece The theme for my Final Major Project is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and I chose this as my theme because Little Women is my favourite book and from an author that I am very interested in. The dress that I have made is from the American Civil War Era and is based off the dress that Meg wears to the Moffats’ party in Chapter 9 of the book which is described as “blue silk… [with] a cluster of tea rose-buds at the bosom, and a ruche*”. * “a gauze or lace frill”
26 gender-bending Disney characters^ theses are brilliantly done, all of these all exactly how I believe these characters would look like if they were the opposite gender<belle, jasmine, and Ariel look too young but the others are GREAT!
FMP Final Piece. Final Statement: My goal was to stress to people that if we don't do something to safeguard these animals and their environment now, all we will have left of them is their skeletons in museums and photographs; only a 'shadow' of the animal left. The piece was dedicated to WWF to raise awareness for animals and the environment but I feel that it could also be used for other organisations as animal endangerment is a very big issue.
Afternoon Tea Dress. The bodice and the flowers are made entirely of paper, and the skirt is netting, chiffon and lace. The bodice is decorated with text from the Jane Austen Novel 'Pride and Prejudice'. It has a corset effect back that is secured with a champagne coloured ribbon.
