“From an idea I'm sure I saw somewhere on here, but can't remember where, our Numicon Padlocks

Yellow/Blue/Pink: wrap numicon in foil. Chn write down guess, unwrap foil and write down actual number.

At NL we hid the foil wrapped numicon in the sand pit. Children used metal detectors to 'treasure hunt' for the numicon. Also foil wrapped matching numeral cards.

LOVE THIS!!! The sticks have different number sentences to make the number.

Math - Addition Cups made from foam sheets and craft sticks. It makes a fun math game. **Could do something similar with place value for high grades!
