Invention Idea Box (School Kids).great for critical thinking! I had a "Building Box" in my room last year where I added items I thought kids could use to build things. (It was usually things I would otherwise throw away or recycle.) The kids loved it!

For our week of The Three Billy Goats Gruff , along with all the bridge building and storytelling, we got to making and painting trolls.

Retelling the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff using props. Lots of opportunities for adding voices and trying out story book language. The children can then make stick puppets to take home and retell the story themselves.

Norfolk Story Cafe's are workshop sessions for parents and children in early years settings to inspire and encourage a love of stories.

Using both gross and fine motor skills, the group can work together as a team to build natural bridges, whether big or small.  Bridges can be created over holes, or from tree stump to tree stump.  Parents could even measure how strong the bridges are with found objects!  Book pairing, The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
