The Glasgow School of Art is a public institution that dates back to 1845. They held a design competition for their new building in 1896. A young draughtsman (draftsman) of the firm Honeyman and Keppie won the competition. Unfortunately (or fortunately as we may look at it now) the school did not have enough funds to complete the entire plan, and only the central and eastern wing were completed. Glasgow, Scotland Scotland Street School
The Scotland Street School is probably one of the most important school buildings in the world. It was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1904 in his signature version of the Art Nouveau. The school closed in 1979 when the neighborhood went into severe decline. It is now a museum. The school is a Grade A listed building.
