Midland Red bus garage 1938 Sutton Coldfield. Remembering a school history project many years ago I think this was a ginger beer factory before the bus garage! Later became part of WMPTE (West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive) in the 1970s, taking over some of the BIrmingham & Midland Motor Omnibus (BMMO) maufactured buses (D9's etc?). These vehicles were repainted in the blue and cream livery.

Our example, built in 1965 was the penultimate double-decker to receive a BMMO body.
