Where's the Bear? I wanted to post a pick of another favorite sight word game of my cuties. It's called Where's the Bear. I labeled Dixie cups with sight words. Then I turn them over onto a tray and hide a bear underneath one cup.

This activity helps kids learn sight words while also developing fine motor skills. To increase the level of complexity, challenge kids to build sentences out of these words! (Idea from Kinder Journey.) What wonderful way to work on sight words!
Could do letter/# recognition Toddler Approved!: Word Family and Color Slam - Back to School Basics. A simple game we played with my pre-kinder and toddler. The pre-kinder learned about word family words while the toddler practiced her colors. So fun!
