Where's the Bear? I wanted to post a pick of another favorite sight word game of my cuties. It's called Where's the Bear. I labeled Dixie cups with sight words. Then I turn them over onto a tray and hide a bear underneath one cup.

First 100 Sight Words. a MUST for kiddos to become good readers. One can't sound these out, they must be recognized immediately for fluent reading as they make up a large percentage of text.

I can't wait to try this hands on sight word activity. (This idea, from Ann Shep at Kinder Journey, is free - grab some craft sticks and clothespins to build a set!)

Could do letter/# recognition Toddler Approved!: Word Family and Color Slam - Back to School Basics. A simple game we played with my pre-kinder and toddler. The pre-kinder learned about word family words while the toddler practiced her colors. So fun!
