Have compassion for those who are suffering - because addicts truly are living in hell and just need a compassionate helping hand to make it out. Yes, they hurt other people - but it's because they are hurting so badly themselves.
A big thing I learned about getting through the depression that comes with relapsing and then getting sober again I'd that the most important thing is to talk about it. Even if all you do is write a fake letter and never show anyone, get it out and let those words see the light of day, it makes you feel so much better.
