After this is grey floor paint on the top of the steps and wood effect wall paper on the lower part of the step, I'm very pleased with the finale this project was surprisingly easy and straightforward However the prep did take a while sanding with sheet paper and a lot of filler for the old carpet nails and staples
Love this idea : Home Organisation: Stairs doubling as drawers. If we ever live in a house with stairs, then this idea coupled with this: https://www.deriba.co.uk/DeribaWebsite/understairs/understairs-1.html is surely a must!
Before and After. DIY Stairway Redesign. So easy. Step 1. Remove old carpet. (This is the hardest part, try not to get poked from the old tacks. Be careful!) Step 2. Paint steps. (You can do 1 color for easy, half the time painting, or alternate 2 colors on the rise and run. I alternated white and an espresso brown paint that matches my redone furniture. Regular interior paint will do as it's just the edges that aren't walked on.) Step 3. Staple on runners. (Shown is 3 runners from Target.)
GORGEOUS reclaimed barn wood stairs....I love the look of stark white agains a knotted, brown wood in a distressed nature. Post on all different ways to use reclaimed barn wood or recycled wood in your home decor.
