Sopa de Pollo Boricua (Puerto Rican Chicken Soup) @keyingredient #soup #chicken

Sopa de Pollo Boricua

This Puerto Rican dish is a twist on the classic chicken noodle soup. This is perfect for those chilly days curled up on the couch.

Sancocho- OK here is a recipe for a typical 'comfort' food in Puerto Rico Sancocho. It is a wonderful thick stew here they are using beef but I have more often had it with chicken and oft times it has ad rice in it as well. A more traditional one will have calabaza (pumpkin) in place of butternut squash

Puerto Rican Sancocho Soup, hearty and delicious with a side bowl of White Rice. That's how us Puerto Ricans do! Yummy I'm going to try it.

These are SO YUMMY. In Puerto Rico, we ate them so much I was sick of them. You can put anything in them. We've used jam, the pastele meat, and ground beef as well. In PR, we had them stuffed with rabbit too. They were good, but we all got belly aches, course, that could have been from eating pastelillos three times a day for a week. Then we found a Ponderosa in Hatillo and it was like, the best food ever! lol
