A heart at rest - Amy Wilson Carmichael – was a Protestant Christian missionary in India, who opened an orphanage and founded a mission in Dohnavur. She served in India for 55 years without furlough and wrote many books about the missionary work there.
Gladys Alyward - She was so determined to get to China she worked as a maid to earn her own passage. During the Japanese invasion, she rescued 100 children by trekking them over a mountain. In 1958 a movie was made of her life, “The Inn of the Happiness.
