Darla Hood died June 13, 1979 aged 47 RIP An American child actress, best known as the leading lady in the "Our Gang" series (created by comedy producer Hal Roach) from 1935 to 1941. Hood played "Darla" except for her Our Gang debut at the age of 4 in the 1935 film Our Gang Follies of 1936, in which her character's name was "Cookie"
