Christopher Lee as Dracula in the Hammer House of Horror films of the 1960s and 70s. He was great in this role. These films seem a bit lame now, but I found them pretty frightening as a kid.

Robin Hardy's 'The Wicker Man', 1973 - First off, most viewers come to this film assuming it's a British horror movie, a la the Hammer films, but it's not, it's actually a mystery-thriller with strong religious & heavy sexual overtones. There's too many religious & sexual implications in this little cult classic to elaborate here. But if you're looking for great acting, sweaty palm suspense with a bizarre twist ending then this violent 1970s haunting thriller is for you!
