Indianapolis Outdoor Venue - Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens on

One of the best Indianapolis event venues if you're looking for something downtown and with fun and unique indoor and outdoor spaces. Also includes a really beautiful outdoor garden setting.

Located in White River State Park, the Indianapolis Zoo is a 64-acre zoological park, aquarium, and botanical garden, where animals, plants, and people connect through education, exhibition, conservation, and research. The Zoo takes pride in providing lifelong recreational learning experiences for visitors and instilling a sense of stewardship for the Earth’s plants and animals. It is also the nation's first accredited combined zoo, botanical gardens, an aquarium.

Travel the Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens and move from one fascinating ecological system (biomes) to another. From Arctic lands to the African plains, a visit to the Indianapolis Zoo is literally a trip around the world!

We love the Indianapolis Zoo. It's worth getting a membership so you can go several times a year. The White River Gardens is now included in the membership, so you can see the butterflies in May.
