The Temple Church is a late-12th-century church in London located between Fleet Street and the River Thames, built for and by the Knights Templar as their English headquarters. In modern times, two Inns of Court (Inner Temple and Middle Temple) both use the church. It is famous for its effigy tombs and for being a round church.

Temple Church sits within the Inner Temple of the Inns of Court, and was originally consecrated in 1185 as the spiritual and actual home of the Knights Templar. The church has a long and powerful history, and survives as one of London's oldest original churches despite it's association with the once powerful order of the Templars.

Temple Church, London. As the chapel of the New Temple in London, it was the location for Templar initiation ceremonies.
