Laurus nobilis L., Bay or Laurel - Medicinal Botanical Plants
Sweet bay (Laurus nobilis) is usually grown for it's lush foliage, which can both be neatly clipped for a topiary garden feature, or picked and added to soups, stews and other dishes.
This tree would be very interesting for the front yard! Trees for small gardens: Laurus nobilis, the bay tree, will grow to as a tree, but can be kept small when topiarised, especially in a container. Photo by Jason Ingram.
