Brigitte Helm in "Metropolis" (1927) dir. by Fritz Lang. Isn't it crazy how our concept of 'robot' has not changed since all the way back in the 1920s?!!! I guess a new, modern robot would be sleek as glass or thin metal or shiny with multi-color (like backs of CDs).
