The constant state of war, navigating the relentless obstacle course of testosterone and misogyny, where they think we are property to be owned and plowed. But we’re not. When I was at camp a few days ago, one girl was laughing and making a joke that I didn't catch, relating to a counselors coffee cup. One of my friends specifically said: Don't tell George that. But the girl showed me the cup that said: Who are these kids and why are they calling me Mom? Which is a book reference, but she said: When you get raped. And I nearly slapped her.
