Norbert Wiener (November 26, 1894 – March 18, 1964) was an American mathematician. He was Professor of Mathematics at MIT. A famous child prodigy.

Norbert Wiener Wiener is considered the originator of cybernetics, a formalization of the notion of feedback, with implications for engineering, systems control, computer science.

Cybernetics - is a transdisciplinary approach for exploring regulatory systems—their structures, constraints, and possibilities. Norbert Wiener defined cybernetics in 1948 as "the scientific study of control and communication in the animal and the machine." In the 21st century, the term is to imply "control of any system using technology." - the scientific study of how humans, animals and machines control and communicate with each other. (In Greek, cybernetics mean "governance")

Emmy Noether (23 March 1882 – 14 April 1935), was an influential German mathematician known for her groundbreaking contributions to abstract algebra and theoretical physics. Described by Pavel Alexandrov, Albert Einstein, Jean Dieudonné, Hermann Weyl, Norbert Wiener and others as the most important woman in the history of mathematics, she revolutionized the theories of rings, fields, and algebras.

11-26-1894 Cybernetics author Norbert Wiener is born. Wiener’s book, published in 1948, was a major influence on later research into artificial intelligence. In the book, Wiener drew on World War II experiments with anti-aircraft systems that anticipated the course of enemy planes by interpreting radar images. Wiener also did extensive analysis of brain waves and explored the similarities between the human brain & a modern computing machine capable of memory association, choice & decision…
