NOSTALGIA: it's delicate, but potent. In Greek,"nostalgia" literally means "the pain from an old wound." It's a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone -a feeling of a place where we ache to go again. So very true 😣

Nostalgia- a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time. I yearn for the time when I wasn't ready to give up on the beauty of my dreams.

I remember this - it had an odd smell, and if you kept it too long it dried up and the pictures came unglued - and if you kept it even longer the rubber top dried up!

tapes ~ I had a shoebox filled with my tapes (made from holding holding the tape recorder up to radio or tv)

cassette tapes ~ I had a lot of mix tapes, many that I made from holding the tape recorder up to radio.

- I can smell the crayon's and feel the paper upon them. The box they came in, I smell it too. Thank god it's the Crayola smell and not Halloween candy.

this is totally how I watched all the movies over and over again growing up. My parents recorded movies off of HBO.

VHS tapes full of all my favorite movies and shows. We recorded off the TV but my neighbors recorded movies they'd rented. I was sure they were going to get caught and go to jail!
