New "Play Like A Champion Today" gloves the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will rock in
It’s amazing what movie studios will construct for a movie. This is the French village built at RKO's Encino Ranch around 1939 for "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." This photo was taken 15 years later in 1954 and it still looks like it’s in pretty good—albeit appropriately weathered—condition. 1954 is the year that RKO sold the ranch. All the back lot sets (this was just one) were destroyed to make way for housing.
