Paul Kossoff could elicit one of the sweetest tones from his Les Paul. Free were a wonderful band, minimalist and yet full of flavour. Paul left us much too soon.

Mar 19, 1976 – 39 years ago today, former Free guitarist Paul Kossoff died of heart failure during a flight from Los Angeles to New York at the age of 25. Kosoff’s drug addictions contributed to a drastic decline in the guitarist's health in his final years. His epitaph reads "All Right Now."
