Life is a Dance of Shakti and Shiva A beautiful picture of Shiva and Parvati in dance, curiously with the background of Shiva again , as Natraja, The King of dance. And this catches our interest, What is the painting trying to convey? To me it is a very beautiful concept of pictorially conveying the greatness of Shakti. I bring your attention to the word Maya. https://www.facebook.com/shailgulhatishivapage/photos/a.604173349629181.1073741828.602792436433939/701028493276999/

Kali - the Hindu god of death and destruction, also renewal and motherhood. She is sometimes depicted with ten arms, holding a sword, and with clothes made of human hands. In one battle Kali went on a killing spree. To stop her the Lord Shiva (her husband) threw himself at her feet, she was so stunned that she stuck out her tongue. Many pictures of Kali depict her standing with one foot on Shiva's chest and her tongue sticking out. She is most often pictured as being blue or black in color.

Kali is the Goddess of Destruction and Dissolution in Hinduism, and she is one of the most popular goddesses in India.

This is the the God Shiva and it describes what the different objects mean. It shows how complex Hinduism is and how many different gods and objects there are that mean so many things. I thought it was cool because of the information it gave you.

Kālī is the Hindu goddess associated with empowerment, shakti. She is the fierce aspect of the goddess Durga (Parvati). The name Kali comes from kāla, which means black, time, death, lord of death: Shiva. Since Shiva is called Kāla— the eternal time — the name of Kālī, his consort, also means "Time" or "Death" (as in "time has come").
