Score sheets, a deck of cards, and pencils are all that are needed for this fun decimal place value game! Perhaps a modified score card (with just thousands, hundreds, tens and ones) could be made for students that haven't learned decimals yet.

Working with place value!

Would definitely need to make this harder for fifth grade.higher place values and include decimals. But good starting point.

Place value, expanded form, word form foldable for math notebook. Lots of place value stuff for the notebook.

Place value game using playing cards. Ask students to draw 2 or 3 cards and then ask them to make a number with the least or greatest value.

Thinking about adapting this for fourth graders.  Would love to give it as review/assessment.
