I’ve always loved ‘found’ things like this, and finding poetry within something else is something I find pretty exciting and very cool / newspaper blackout poetry

Doors of Poetry - National Poetry Month Bulletin Board

Convert into library display. This poetry bulletin board is based on an idea from Georgia Heard's book AWAKENING THE HEART. It incorporates the doors of poetry, or different ways one can approach writing a poem.

Blackout poetry~ What an impressive and creative idea. I never thought of doing something like this. Making these is like putting together a puzzle. Plus, it's a lovely way to stitch together a little fantasy story and get yourself in the right mindset to create some cool art.

Incorporate art into writing (poetry): Students can even pick a page from their favourite book as an inspiration. Book page poetry is really neat and a great way to show creativity with older kids. This is an interesting way to teach poetry.
