Pope Julius II - Giuliano della Rovere.  Enemy of Rodrigo and Cesare Borgia finally became pope. Responsible for St. Peter's Basilica and a patron of Michelangelo.

Giuliano della Rovere when he was a cardinal with his uncle Francesco della Rovere, Pope Sixtus IV of Sistine Chapel fame.

Pope Julius II, Pope from 1503 until 1513, during the very early years of Henry's reign, well before Henry's issues with the Church and Anne Boleyn came into the picture. Julius was responsible for issuing the special dispensation for Henry to marry Catherine of Aragon (needed because she had been previously married to his brother Arthur).
