My Kitchen Escapades: Pork Carnitas 4 pound boneless pork butt, fat trimmed and cut into 2 inch cubes 1 tsp salt tsp pepper 1 tsp ground cumin 1 onion, peeled and halved 2 bay leaves 1 tsp dried oregano 2 Tb fresh lime juice 2 C water 1 medium orange
I added 2 tbsp of OJ concentrate, as I love how the citrus livens up this dish, I also only used 3 chipotle peppers and chopped them finely. Our commissary sells pork stew meat, so I save that huge step of cutting it up!
BEST Pork Carnitas (Slow Cooker Mexican Pulled Pork) I have ever tried! Super juicy, easy and so much more flavorful than other versions I've tried and the crispy burnt ends are the best! Great for large crowds and for tacos, burritos, or nachos!
