Hosting a Preakness Party A crab feast is always a delicious blast! We held one in honor of the Preakness and our first time crab eaters had much fun learning how to open the crab and get out all the yumminess!
My version of Nelson Carey's Snoball Susan (a variation on the official Preakness Black-Eyed Susan cocktail): 2 1/2 oz Pikesville Rye, 1 oz Cointreau, 1 oz White Rum, 1 1/2 oz orange juice, 1 1/2 oz lemon juice, 1 oz simple syrup. Mix in a shaker & pour into a crushed ice-filled highball. I used Sazerac, Wray & Nephew's Overproof White, with Dekuyper's 03, and think it does the original justice. Probably only need 1 to cover me until post time.
