Kiani Crown - Iranian Crown Jewels   This crown was the traditional coronation crown of the Qajar dynasty, which lasted from 1796 - 1925. A new crown was created for the next dynasty, the Pahlavi dynasty, although this crown was present at the first coronation in 1926. The Kiani Crown is made of red velvet and is decorated with thousands of gems. There are around 1800 pearls, 1800 rubies and 300 emeralds stitched into the crown, which is 12.5 inches tall and 7.5 inches wide.
