An Italian tradition, Easter Pie is called many things depending on which region of Italy you are from. In Italian-American dialect, you call it pizza gain. It is also known as pizza rustica, pizza piena and pizzachino, to name a few.

This traditional Italian Easter pie is a chance to indulge on Italian meats and cheeses — salami, pepperoni, mozzarella, ricotta, and hard boiled eggs — after the long fast of Lent. Also called pizza (Baking Eggs Ricotta)
Pizza rustica is not a pizza in the way that we've come to understand it, though anyone who's spent time in Italy might well have come across it. Pizza Rustica: The word pizza simply means pie, and this term denotes a deep, pastry-encased creation.
