This is not a picture of Sarah, obviously, but Sarah's story is interesting: Sarah Good (July 11, 1653 – July 19, 1692) born in Salem Village (now Danvers), Massachusetts, was one of the first three women to be accused of witchcraft in the Salem witch trials of 1692.  However, Sarah Good was accused of witchcraft in February of 1692 but was not hanged for witchcraft until July of 1692.

The Salem witch trials were a series of hearings and prosecutions of people accused of witchcraft in Colonial Massachusetts between Feb. 1692 and May The trials resulted in executions of twenty people, most of them women.

In 1692, Salem was divided into two distinct parts: Salem Town and Salem Village. This map shows how Salem was divided. There is a clear distinction between the accused and the accusers. Most of the accused were wealthy people living in Salem Town whereas the accused were lower class people living in Salem Village.
