Monterey's River Road, aka the Wine Trail takes you by 20 or so wineries, most of them in the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation in the Salinas Valley. You'll also pass dozens of crops harvesting everything from lettuce to strawberries. Make sure to stop for a picnic, wine sampling, and tour of the harvest of your choice.
