seaweed I found this pinned by someone else. Imagine my surprise seeing it on line since I own the original. It was painted by a dear friend Kathy Dueker.

This is a transverse section of the conceptacle of a brown seaweed Fucus sp., commonly known as saw wrack. It has been stained with a fluorescent dye called anilino-naphthalene-sulphonic acid.

Colour inspireation: seaweed #pink

I really like the bold pink colour of this Seaweed. Seaweed varies in colour. It has a tree-like shape with branches and leaves. The texture would be smooth/slimy.
