Colored by Dayna Brown with Prismacolors, Caran D'ache Pablos, and Polychromos pencils. The background is soft pastels done first. I erased excess pastels off of the shapes in the picture (like leaves and birds) worth an eraser before spraying with workable fixative. The colored pencils are some over the top of the workable fixative.

12 Outdoor Reading Spaces That Will Remind You of 'The Secret Garden' I love the Huge Round Seat.

Ive created a tiny secret garden inside an Altoids style tin. The design is inspired by the classic book The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.  The tin measures approximately 2.4 x 3.75 x 1 (give or take a hair). The exterior features handmade stone work, ivy and plants, and an arched wooden door with tiny keyhole. I often recycle materials in my work and the paper on the interior of the tin is from a discarded vintage hymn book. Some of the text is visible through the paint. Inside…
