Every year we read "Pete the Cat Rocking in my School Shoes" by Eric Litwin (artwork by James Dean). I made this hat to go along with the story being read on the first day of school. I would print it on white card stock, let students color, and then attach to a sentence strip that you can fit around each child's head.
