This Is England Shane Meadows’ most personal film and maybe his best, This Is England brilliantly captures England, the skinhead subculture and the white nationalist movement as seen through the eyes of the brilliant Thomas Turgoose’s 12 year-old Shaun.

Directed by George Stevens. With Alan Ladd, Jean Arthur, Van Heflin, Brandon De Wilde. A weary gunfighter attempts to settle down with a homestead family, but a smoldering settler/rancher conflict forces him to act.

Good ol Western. As simple as they get and as neat as they were made. A weary gunfighter's plans for a peaceful life dont seem to work out as the settlers are in conflict with the ranchers. There is a huge amount of tension built up with a brilliant pay off. [8/10]

A Walk to Remember. Not a Nicholas Sparks fan now, but my teenage brain and body did not know how to handle this movie.
