Cotswold hogget--A longwool breed with a lustrous fleece, originating in Gloucestershire, on and around the Cotswold Hills. It is known to be of great antiquity in its original form, being kept on the Cotswold villa estates by the Romans.
Portland: A relatively small heathland breed from the Dorset area. The rams have heavily spiralled horns and the ewes a half circle horn. Lambs are born with a foxy red coat which changes in the first few months to creamy white. They produce an exceptiona
breed of domestic sheep originating in the Friesland region of the north Netherlands. There it was primarily used for the production of sheep milk as well as lamb and mutton. They were often kept alongside dairy cattle herds.
