Nasa captures magnificent solar flare footage

Large solar storms 'dodge' Earth's detection systems - The Tihany Magnetic Observatory registered a solar storm, similar to the largest one ever recorded, while other observatories were completely unaware of the event.

An incredibly stunning solar flare erupted from the sun's surface throwing charged particles and searing plasma millions of miles out into space. The blast was was not directed at the earth and it is unlikely to hit any of the planets in our solar system.

Solar flare activity increased after March 8, 2012 when two ( 2 ) X-Class Coronal Mass Ejections ( CME ) began impacting Earth, but on March 9, 2012 more significant solar falres were hurled toward Earth whose Magnetosphere is straining under so many powerful impacts of dangerous Solar Energetic Particles ( SEP ). NASA’s SDO Sees a Solar Flare

This is what I think the solar flares looked like before they hit the earth. This is the reason WICKED made the Flare. The Fares killed many people. Those that survived and were outside basically were melted.

The sun erupted with an X1.7-class solar flare on May 12, 2013. This is a blend of two images of the flare from NASAs Solar Dynamics Observatory: One image shows light in the 171-angstrom wavelength, the other in 131 angstroms. Credit: NASA/SDO/AIA

Sun Erupts with Strongest Summer Solar Flare Yet. The most powerful solar flare of the summer so far erupted from the sun Friday (July the latest in a string of powerful storms this week from our nearest star, space weather experts say.

A total solar eclipse, showing solar flares and prominences past the limb of the Sun, which is blocked by the Moon, and the solar corona. This eclipse took place during a maximum of a sunspot cycle, and the image is processed to show not only the corona but also the chromosphere and the prominences
