Southern Black Eyed Peas - The original recipe used salt pork, but this uses bacon. Grab a bowl of these peas, a dash of Tabasco, a slab of hot-from-the-oven cornbread, some green onions and tomato slices and dig in!
I was never a black eyed pea fan till I had them in this dish. Itâs wonderful! You can serve it alone or with brown rice which goes extra good with it. FYI did you know they eat black eyed peas in the south for luck?
