St Kilda (Scottish Gaelic: Hiort) is an isolated archipelago 64 kilometres mi) west-northwest of North Uist in the North Atlantic Ocean. It contains the westernmost islands of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
Kilda in the Atlantic west of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. This is the village that the islanders abandoned in 1930 when they just couldn’t go on. It’s now a UNESCO World Heritage site, cared for by the National Trust for Scotland.
