A while back, my brother and I made an update to the mini Street Fighter pixel characters and since I noticed some traffic of the old version, I thought I’d put up the new one!

This sequential piece of art of Ryu performing a Hadouken was the basis for the opening animation of Super Street Fighter II™. It was the first game since the original Street Fighter II™ that utilized completely new and more powerful hardware. This allowed for new graphics and more complex animations and the old Street Fighter II opening screen got replaced therefore with this new, more characteristic one of Ryu performing his trademark move. The illustration has been made by Akiman.
