imagine you get your leg amputated. it's been a day or so and you're in recovery. the surgeons come in and say, very embarrassed, 'we amputated the wrong leg. we're sorry but we have to take off the other one too.'

Well then. I wonder how many people messed up that badly to make it a rule.
