Do you like FREE things? Do you have a class room library? Are you tired of book sneaking off? Here is a simple check out/check in system to help keep track of your books! Whenever we fill up one of these in my class, we take it down from the wall and do a class book check and make sure that we all know where our books are. These have really helped our class library stay healthy and accounted for!

I added names in alpha order, then laminated it. I'm hoping kids can use a dry erase marker to check out books, erase when returned. The goal is to make it easy at a glance to see who has which book.

This is my Success Zone board in my Read180 Computer Lab. When the student completes a story, they finish by entering the Success Zone. When completed, they receive a "dot" under their name with the date they completed the Success Zone. They can visually see their progress throughout the year. You can use any theme you like. Last year I used Stars.

Read 180 Workshop student reminder board to refer to throughout the workshop. I made posters like it to hang up in my classroom after our workshop is done and I wipe the whiteboard clean. The solid boxes with checkmarks help with pacing and showing progression through the workshop. The dashed boxes are for checkpoints/conferences with students.

Interactive Notebooks can still be done in the Read 180 - System 44 Classroom! I use this rubric to give my Intervention students guidelines for quality and content, and to grade their notebooks. Not only do I use it to grade them, but every other week or so, they assess themselves or one of their peers.
