BLOOMINGDALE NEWS: The City of Chicago increased the rate for Lake Michigan water it assesses to the DuPage Water Commission (DWC). The DWC passed this rate increase to the Village. The Village can't absorb the increase without jeopardizing it's financial stability. A water rate increase of $.09/1000 gallons of water goes into effect on 9/1/17, and will be reflected on bills issued in October. The average residential bill is projected to increase $1.08, or about 1%.
