The BSE #Midcap and #Smallcap indices gained 1 percent each on strong market breadth. About three shares advanced for every share falling on the BSE. Reliance Industries, SBI, ONGC, IOC, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, BPCL and Maruti Suzuki rose 1-4 percent.
