The much loved Tony Hart (1925 – 2009) was an English artist and children's television presenter. He was an officer in a Gurkha regiment but became famous for being a children's presenter and artist on television shows such as Vision On, Playbox, Take Hart and Hartbeat, often accompanied by Morph. He also created the Blue Peter ship logo.

The much loved Tony Hart – and artist on television shows such as Vision On, Playbox, Take Hart and Hartbeat, this man was God as far as I was concerned

Morph - i had a bendable toy morph, made of rubber with wire inside. When it started to poke through, my mum 'killed' him. 80's health and safelty, eh? #nostalgia #80s #childhood

Morph - he was the quieter one and his mate chas was the noisy one.how did we understand what they were on about?

Vision On. Loved it :)

Vision On - I loved this TV programme, presented by brilliant artist Tony Hart and including special features for deaf children

Tony Hart. He always inspired me, as when I saw him on TV it always made me want to go and draw something.

This wonderful man was my hero growing up. I still have some vivid memories of Hartbeat.

Who remembers Vision On?

Who is remembering the theme tune right now, like me.
