Yggdrasil, Uroboros by sunshiver on deviants. No dragon but snake wrapped around trunk. With more leaves

My first tattoodesign (from A mashup of the Yggdrasil myth with Ouroboros winding around its trunk. It's been tattooed 3 times so far to my knowledge - I am curious to see how many more will get it! =) (c) Hanna Gerhardt

Vegvisir with the surrounding runes: "not all who wander are lost." At the center of vegvisir ungiz: "where there is a will there is a way." Huginn and muginn underneath vegvisir for "thought" and "memory." There under Yggdrasil the tree of balance with the two runes of time, change and decision: jera and dagaz. Meaning of this tattoo to me: every step I take towards balance is with a certain thought and memory, together with making the right decisions. All guided by vegvisir and ungiz.

This would make a great tattoo.... Yggdrasil, the world ash tree... Odin, on his 8 legged horse Sleipnir... His ravens Hugin and Munin (Thought and Memory).

Yggdrasil, the world ash tree. Odin, on his 8 legged horse Sleipnir. His ravens Hugin and Munin (Thought and Memory). -- all in a Celtic design!

First of all, I should explain what this is. This is the Celtic Tree of Life. It symbolizes balance and harmony. I love the element of lines this design uses. The Celtic knots and branches in tree create a flow. Also, this design shows the element of time. It shows that over time, the tree has stayed the same, but has also been altered a bit .
