This AS Level Art sketchbook presentation again reminds us of what the essence of a quality sketchbook should be: quality drawings (image sources clearly shown), surrounded by unobtrusive, comprehensive annotation. A simple yet striking black and white sketchbook page.
This double page includes my own research of Chrissy Angliker who incorporates drips into her work which is either composed of portraits, landscapes, shapes etc. Since this is the basic theme she uses throughout her work i found it very inspiring in terms or the lively effect it creates. Because she uses vibrant hues, i found it exciting and worth being influenced by in my developing work.
This sequence of work (primarily Kate's A Level Art sketchbook pages) shows experimentation with media and the exploration of compositional ideas. Artist influences are chosen cleverly: seamlessly integrating with her own aesthetic.
