Wet blocking my newly knitted lace hat
This is my process to blocking hats. Soak in cool water for 10-30 mins. Gently squeeze out excess water. Roll up in a towel and walk along it to get some more liquid out. Inflate a balloon roughly to the size of your head and pop the hat on. Hang it up and marvel at how much better it looks when it's dry! Works only for natural fibres. (For acrylic, you'll want to steam block, making sure the iron doesn't touch the fabric!)
