Just a very simple idea for quieter sessions. Pom poms are so quiet. Children get the pom-poms with chopsticks or tweezers. good for counting sorting and fine manipulative. Can be done individually or they could choose a number then race to collect.

At NL we hid the foil wrapped numicon in the sand pit. Children used metal detectors to 'treasure hunt' for the numicon. Also foil wrapped matching numeral cards.

Old bear sharing activity. Count out number of marshmallows and share equally amongst Old Bear and friends.

"Splat the number" game using uno cards and fly swatters. This would be great for number bonds practice.
