Yardhouse / Assemble facade : clad in decorative concrete tiles handmade on site

Yardhouse / Assemble

Yardhouse designed by ASSEMBLE, is an affordable creative workspace building based in Sugarhouse Yard, Olympic Park, London. I love the colours and texture of it's front facade, made from concrete tiles handmade on site.

Our design for a corten steel house in West London has received a merit at the Structural Steel Design Awards. The rust-like appearance of the weathered corten steel cladding is a striking feature of the cutting-edge design of this private dwelling.

Expressionism - a few references to expressionism

Expressionism example 02 Jackson Pollock. This is an effective piece of art as the layers of paint with the bold colours give off an interesting and textured look.

After his move to Springs, he began painting with his canvases laid out on the studio floor, and he developed what was later called his "drip" technique. One: Number 31 - Art by Jackson Pollock.
